Working together with nationals train

Leaders in all 5 regional Fulani fellowships in Burkina Faso have expressed interest in a Fulani Bible school to locally train Fulani church leaders and planters. Plans are underway for the Bible school to commence in 2010.

We want to work in the school teaching and mentoring national teachers.

We might also use our educational backgrounds teaching literacy skills to students.

Pete’s textile background may come in handy to do some vocational training (in weaving) for pastors and church leaders to generate some income to support ministry.
grow Weaving?
The Sahara desert’s aggressive growth and migration south is making the traditional nomadic cattle-herding lifestyle of the Fulani harder to maintain.

In order to survive and support ministry the Fulani need to learn other income generating skills. Our aim:
to help equip Fulani Christians to live & proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ until he returns Literacy?
Traditionally, the Fulani have
had little or no interest or need
for literacy.

However, in order to engage
with God’s written word for themselves, Fulani Christians
want to learn to read.

Leaders will need to read to be better equipped to teach their churches. The first step
is language learning. 1 year in France learning French (2009-2010), then 2 years in Burkina Faso learning Fulfulde, the language of the Fulani. Visit our
